Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil

Tucked away in the heart of Bali, surrounded by ancient trees and the hum of the jungle, I stumbled upon a moment that felt like time had paused. Deep within the Ubud Monkey Forest, I came across the iconic moss-covered statues representing a message as old as time: “See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.”

These stone monkeys, cloaked in vibrant green moss from years of Bali’s tropical rain, sit silently amidst the chaos of chattering macaques and rustling leaves. Yet, despite their stillness, they speak volumes.

This photograph is more than just a visual—it’s a feeling. A reflection of wisdom passed through generations. A symbolic reminder to stay mindful of what we absorb, what we repeat, and what we project into the world.

I remember the quiet reverence in that moment. Locals walked by with offerings. A monkey darted past my lens, playful and unbothered. But the statues stood grounded—ancient sentinels in a forest that feels almost magical.

Whether you’re drawn to spiritual symbols, cultural art, or the serene beauty of the jungle, this piece captures more than meets the eye. It’s a story of awareness, presence, and the quiet power of nature to remind us what really matters.
